WANTED-1997 30th Anniversary Chevy Camaro Z28
Hey guys, I'm obviously new to the forums. My mom and I are looks at buying a 97 Z/28 Camaro. We were looking at the new Camaros but they are way out of are price range for the V8. She had a '79 up until 1992 but she sold it to a friend when I came into the picture. We live in Tallmadge OH (home of Summit racing and some of the nicest street cars on the planet due to that). I was just at the Camaro show last weekend where we test drove one of the V6s and we feel in love (I had honestly been in love since Transformers 1 anyway). So we walked around a bit and spotted a 97 30th Anniversary Camaro. We decided that was our car. I get to blow away an a$$hole prep at school in his 3000GT and my mom gets to have her dream car back. The only bad part is A. hard to find with less that 100,000 miles (I'm only an amateur mechanic) B. She can't drive stick. So here are the specs and hope fully I can find one in Eastern Ohio/Western PA. Any help would be awesome.

And I realize the sarcasm and trust me it wouldn't be a regular hobby or anything. Just the "I got a car with 275hp and a speedometer that goes to 140" jitters. I don't trust myself enough as a driver to race that thing around. Plus, the last thing I need is to get caught street racing. I just need to put some 4-cylinders and a few V6's in there place.

I knew that....

Don't street race, the life you take could be your best friends.

I have a 97 white with orange stripes Anniversary Z28. The car has 37000 miles on it. It has never seen rain or snow. I have full documentation i.e. window sticker, build sheet, original invoice from dealer it was purchased new from, and all service records at that dealership. The car is stored in winters and is in excellent shape. The only problem I see is it is a 6-speed. But if mom can learn to drive a 6-speed she will have alot of fun with this car. The car is completely stock except it has Corvette Z06 rims on it. I do have the white rims that came with the car all cleaned and stored away that will come with the purchase. The car does very well at car shows. Have won several awards with it. I am 48 years old and I am about the show and not about the go. I don't race it, I haven't even done a burn out in it, the tires cost too much to replace. The original owner was in Denver, and her husband passed away in 97, she always wanted a Camaro so she bought this one. All work done to the car is still done at the dealership with GM parts if needed. I just put a new EGR valve on it last May. I am sure you won't be disappointed in the car if you see it. By the way my wife is the same age as I am and she doesn't have any trouble driving a 6-speed. I am sure your mom could learn as well. Shoot, if you come and buy the car I will teach her how to drive it, and she will be driving it home not you. I have pictures of the car in my album on this website if you want to see pics. I live in Indiana 40 west of Indy. Here is my e-mail if you are interested. dan_barnhart@att.net
