Original 1973 Z-28
Selling my baby....
A real survivor, an unrestored, original paint, original numbers matching, 1973 Camaro Z-28, 350, 4 speed with 26,800 original miles on the odometer. I ordered this car new when I was a senior in HS.
Silver with black stripes, black interior, bucket seats, console, power steering, power brakes. I still have the original AM/8 track radio as well.
I had owned the car about a year and replaced the Firestone Wide Ovals with BFG T/A's, and just replaced that set last year, after 39 years, due to age and a knot growing on the tread of one, with a new set of BF Goodrich T/A's. I still have the original factory spare with matching mag wheel and original Firestone Wide Oval tire, which have been stored in the house for the last 40 years.
The motor is untouched, all original, including all the smog related features.
I have the original paperwork dated 2-7-73 from the dealership giving me the purchase quote, and then the purchase contract dated two days later on 2-9-73 for the sales agreement. I also have the loan agreement from the bank dated 4-7-73. Also, I still have the original title dated 6-20-80 from when the lien was taken off in addition to the replacement title issued when I couldn't find the original to send in to get the collector plates.
As far as I know, the build sheet is still under the rear seat, and surprisingly, have yet to look for it.
All in all, enough legitimate paper work to prove the provenance of the vehicle from day one.
The pictures are from last fall the day I gassed it up and put it away for the winter.
I have it insured through Grundy's for a stated value of $38,500, and am offering it for sale here for $34,995.00.
The car is located in S.W. Wisconsin.
