After nine years I think I’ve finally decided to sell my Z28 and move on to other projects. The car has about 118,000 miles on it and the engine has about 11,000. The transmission has about 75,000 (converted from an auto)

383ci LT1, Scat 9000 crank, Scat 4340 6” I-beam rods, Wiseco flat top forged pistons (-5cc valve relief), ~12.0:1 CR, Comp XE 236/242 cam, stock replacement lifters, LT4 1.6:1 roller rockers, ported heads, 2.00”/1.56” Manley valves, Comp springs/retainers/locks, Melling HV oil pump/welded pickup, BBK 58mm TB, K&N FIPK, 1LE elbow, Accel 36# injectors, Meziere HD electric water pump, Jet Hot long tube headers w/ fittings for AIR/EGR (blocked off), no cats, flowmaster 3” exhaust, dual cutouts, Accel DFI Gen 6 stand alone PCM, polyurethane motor mounts, MSD Ignition Box, T56, McLeod Street Twin clutch, Pro5.0 Shifter, BMR DS safety loop, 10 Bolt, 4:10 gear, Hotchkis rear control arms / panhard bar, 18”x9.5”Zenetti Vegas w/ 275/40ZR18 Falken GRBeta (~80% tread left), Alpine CD/MP3 player, PW, AC, Autometer WB O2 meter/guage pod. Car will also come with a car cover, old laptop w/ DFI software, and any other random parts I have laying around.

The car previously ran a 12.04@117mph when I was still dialing in the tune on the stock PCM. The car always had a slight miss on the top end with the stock PCM that has been solved with the DFI, but I have not been back to the track since. It would probably run about 11.8, maybe less on slicks now.

In the interest of full disclosure, the car will not pass an emissions test, there is a crack in the front bumper, some spidering/cracking in the paint on the front bumper and hood, the front CD/Tape holder section of the center console is missing. The car runs and drives and both the stock PCM and the DFI setup are operational, but it still needs some wiring sorted out for the cooling fans, A/C, and Tach. The car runs pretty well, but could still probably benefit from some additional tuning on the dyno and some startup/warmup tuning. The car could also use some suspension work in the form of new shocks, bushings, etc.

It’s not perfect, but I think it’s a pretty good car for the price and would still allow the buyer some things to work on. I just don’t have the time/motivation for it anymore. I want $5,500 for it, and that’s pretty much my bottom line. If it doesn’t sell for that, I’ll just keep it. Feel free to PM me, or post here, for anything I neglected to mention.

There are pictures in my sig of the car several years ago. It still looks really similar, but I will try to get some updated pictures on in the next few days.
