1994 Firebird Formula rolling chassis w/ lots of extras - $3500
EDIT: PRICE REDUCED TO $2000 WITHOUT THE TORQUE THRUST IIs
1994 firebird formula
136k miles on body
4.10s in stock 10 bolt with working zexel torsen diff.
locally built 4L60E
yank PT4000 stall
ABS / A/C / emissions delete. can provide all the parts I took off with car.
the engine was nicely built, but decided to scatter the bottom end while in park, after a quick rev. what I had in it:
Ed Curtis specced custom cam. 242/250 112 lsa
3 piece hardened pushrods
Comp cams pro magnum 1.6:1 roller rockers
7/16" rocker studs
PAC1518 valve springs
Trickflow guideplates
stock heads/valves, minor bowl work, good valve job
MrGasket .026" thick head gaskets
~11:1 compression ratio
BBK 58mm throttle body
rebuilt stock bottom end with:
new main, rod and cam bearings
ARP rod bolts
hastings piston rings
Pacesetter long tube headers
Pacesetter Y-pipe with dual electric cutouts
Hooker catback
I don't know whats still good. I haven't torn down the engine as this just happened today and I am tired of throwing money at the car without being able to enjoy it. I do not want to rebuild it AGAIN so I just want to see the car go away.
my asking price is $3500 OR BEST OFFER.
now, before I get lowballers, please note that this comes with:
a full exhaust with pacesetter LTs, a $400 y-pipe with dual electric cutouts welded in, and a hooker catback. it would cost around $800-900 to duplicate the exhaust.
the rear has honestly less than 50 miles on it because I just got the damn thing installed YESTERDAY. brand new 4.10s with a zexel torsen diff.
I am sure the rockers, studs, guideplates, pushrods, valvesprings are all still good. that is about $600 worth of valvetrain components with under 1000 miles on them.
I also have the built transmission which ran me $900 and a good yank PT4000 converter that has less than 1000 miles on it that cost me $500.
this also includes my torque thrust IIs, 17x9.5 front, 17x11 rear, with sumitimo rubber that still has good tread life left. I paid $1200 for the wheels and the tires can be had for around $400. If you dont want the wheels/tires I will remove $800 from the price. I have stock wheels/tires that can go with it.
basically you purchase this car, put a bottom end in it and possibly heads (theyre stock heads anyways, no real loss), and a cam (already have most of the valvetrain ready with GOOD components), and you have a good running car for really cheap. my loss, your gain.
I don't want to part this out. I dont want to work on this car any more.
PM me with any questions or if you want to talk over the phone Ill give you my cell phone number.
thanks.

I am pretty interested. What is the condition of the body and interior of the car? Any rust around the wheel-wells etc? I am in Buffalo, NY. Do you have a way to move the car and possibly drive a few hours to meet half way or something? I have a dolly to tow the car from wherever I get it from.
