I just picked up a 97 Convertible and the stock radio with cassette player isn't functioning correctly. There's a tape jammed in it and it won't come out. Since I no longer have any cassettes anyway, I'm looking for a replacement radio. I found someone selling a stock AM/FM/CD head unit from an 02 Camaro. My question is, is this a plug and play swap or no? I know I should go aftermarket, but I like how the stock setup looks in the dash and I found someone selling the head unit, amp and speakers for $30, so if it works, I'll grab it.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

yes it is a plug and play radio, no problems there... i just put a radio from a 99 in my 94.. so yes i say buy it and install it. everything will plug in normally... you might have an extra plug in in the back but its for a aux cable you can buy, its a 9 prong connector..
