Race car build and stock anti-theft, chipped key, etc
Hey guys! First "technical" post to the forums!
So I am building a 96 m6 for NASA/Chumpcar racing and there are obviously TONS of things not needed. I hate dealing with electronics but I am doing this the "right" way and have just begun painstakingly tracing back & separating unneeded wires, etc.
MY question is: Is there a straightforward way to bypass the chipped keyed ignition and the anti-theft system? This car will not be a DD so these features can simply be obsoleted from the car. Is it as simple as just bypassing the stock tumbler/switch assembly and also tracing back and unhooking the anti-theft stuff (like the shock sensor on the RR wheel well)?
I figured I'd get some input before I get carried away and cut something I shouldn't. Car is on jackstands and I have left the drivetrain intact so I can still check the functionality of everything as I progress thinning up all of the wiring in the car.
Thanks all!!!

PASS-Key bypass:
Courtesy of Shoebox - scroll down to the bottom, and see links to resistor bypass, etc.
4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech-PassKey/VATS
Note that you can also bypass the balance of the sytem by having the PASS-Key feature "tuned out" of the PCM, or adding a module that supplies the required frequency signal that the PCM is looking for from the TDM (BCM on 96/97). Shoebox mentions that at the bottom of the page.
