Questions about factory Bose system
My car has the factory 5 speaker bose system. I wanted to put a CD player in because the head unit was only a tape deck. I replaced it with a JVC, and I didn't buy the bose adapter. The car speakers kind of pop a little some times when the radio is off (usually when I operate the windows, or something like that). I also had to unplug the 5th speaker in the back, becuase it was buzzing. I want to get rid of the buzzing and poping. Is the only way of doing that to get the adapter?
Has anyone else wired in an aftermarked unit into the bose system with out the bose adapter? And if so have you had any problems doing it that way?

i just upgraded my factory bose and all i did was run new wires to all the speakers 10$ and about 1/2 hour. got the wiring harness adapter from local shop just for power nothing else and hooked it all up. it worked great. the only thing that didn't work was the sub (didnt even try though) and i replaced that with 2 audiobahn 12" woofer and 2 kicker zr 360 amps the only thing you have to check if your speakers are 4 ohms (with a volt ohm meter) mine were you can save the 10 dollars and hack your wiring harness but why? leave it and you can put the bose back in if you want to.
