Post Just Installed New Front 6.5's...BUY THESE

Well, after a very long hard day of fooling around with my front speakers, im proud to say i sucessfully finished. I purchased a pair of Boston RM6's (6.5" Coaxial speakers) from a local audio shop for $250. Some say this is way too much to pay for coaxials but i was too lazy to do components this time. and for my opinion on these speakers....WOOOWW!! I havent even installed my amp yet (2002 Model Rockford Fosgate 500X), these speakers are just running off of the head unit power (Pioneer DEH-P8200R) and sound better than my previous cars components! Tomorrow the amp goes on and they will sound even better. But I cant stress enough, if you have $250 to blow on a pair of speakers, get Boston Rally Series RM6's. It required me to make my own custom speaker baffle out of wood but that wasnt really a problem (and trust me, im terrible with stuff like that) and everything fit fine. My JL Audio Vantage Box should be arriving on the 23rd. Im still torn between an Alpine Type-R 10" and an Image Dynamics IDQ10D2 V.2 sub. lemme know if you have any input. (Since im only going to run one 10" sub, i want to get a high-end sub)

1 10" sub? try, resonant engineering, or digital designs, brahma, id max, they will toast those alpine subs, cleaner and louder.

I really liked the Type R and the IDQ, but i think the IDQ is a little better sub... neither is on the level with my Brahma, but for the money the Type R and the IDQ are both really good subs.

As far as the speakers go, blad you like them, i have a similar affinity with my $170 A/D/S coaxials. They sound fantastic, and better than a lot of component systems that i have heard.
