I bought a new radio and hooked it up but only the speakers in the trunk are working right.

The bass and subwoofers in the front and rear seats work but in order to hear any sound you have to put your ear to the speaker.

I tried connecting the speaker wire to an old speaker I have and that works, so it's not a problem with the wire harness or the radio.

I also tried plugging back in the old radio and have the same issue.

I might just have to take it to a radio installer and let him figure it out.

Does anyone have any suggestion before I do that?

no. the guy who had the car before me put in kenwood speakers and added a sub speakers in the trunk

Sorry to bring up an old thread. It's nice out now and I want to fix this problem.

The only speakers working right now are the trunk speakers and the sub. The amp is a boss gt 980.

Could it be a blown fuse to the car speakers. Or the way the amp was wired?
