does this set up work?

does this set up work?
I've read for about 5 hrs now and don't really understand this whole ohms, bridging, and channels deal. I have a 93 Z with the Bose 3 speaker set up. The left factory amp went bad so I was thinking about this set up. Tell me if it works and if it'll work well.
I have a Sony CDXGT360MP head unit
-Maximum Watts per Channel 52W x 4
-RMS Wattage 17W x 4
-Number of Pre-Outs 1 rear, 1 sub out
(2) Alpine SPR-60 coaxial speakers
-100 Watts RMS
-300 Watts Peak
powered by
(1) Alpine MRP-F300
- 4-channel car amplifier
- 50 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (75 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
- 150 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
- 2, 3, or 4 channel output
I was thinking i could just bridge the amp into the speakers.
Any help would be great! thanks

Re: does this set up work?
It should but be warned that you will have to rewire the entire system front to back.
I had the Bose 5 speaker setup in my Z28.
The driver's door speaker kept going out. I'd pull the Bose Speaker/Amp combo and resolder a component that would get somehow get a crack in the solder. Anyway after 3 or 4 times over 8 months I just bought a new set of speakers. Ended up having to rewire from front to back. The only factory wires I'm using are the Constant, switched power, & ground to the headunit anything else has been replaced.

No the stock speakers run off different ohms. I think its a 4 ohm system and most after market speakers are 2 ohm. It may be vise versa but I had to rewire my entire radio system when I replace the.stock speakers as well
