Talking Just finished the wife's install...

Just yesterday I managed to get to install the system in my wife's Camaro. It turned out quite nicely really...

The system consists of:

Premier DEH-P560MP - Head Unit
Premier CDX-P626S - CD Changer
Rockford Fosgate Fanatic-X 6.5" Components up front
Rockford Fosfate HPC-2206 6.5" 2-ways in the rear.
Rockford Fosgate Punch HX-2 15" Subwoofer in a custom build (myself) 4 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 35 Hz.
Rockford Fosgate Punch 501x 4-channel amp running the mids/tweets.
Rockford Fosgate Power 500bd mono amp running the sub.

It's not 100% done. Just have to mount the tweeters for the components. I'm playing with placement, trying to get them where they sound the best.

Install took about 15.5 hours, AFTER the box and amp rack were build.

A TON nicer then what my wife has got!! I drove her car one day and 1 speaker wasn't even playing. I asked her about it and she said she didn't even notice. lol So I replaced her fronts with some cheap Pioneer's from Wal-Mart. Better then not working at all. Then my friend gave us a pair of Blau subs in a bandpass box and a small old a$$ coustic amp. We told we didn't even want it. He said just take it and sell it or something....how am I gonna say no to that? So it sat around the garage for a little while then one day I decided to just by an 8g kit from Wal-Mart for $20 and throw it in my wife's car. Actually doesn't sound TOO bad....for under $100 installed!

My wife used to compete now and then with her Neon, and she missed the big stereo, so I had to go something for her Camaro.

She's waited patiently almost a year since we bought her car for me to get everything together and install it for her. Buying a house slowed me down too..

I've uploaded some pics of the install to my club's board, but I'm having internet problems at work so I can't post the link to the thread at the moment.

When the ISP gets the internet problem sorted out, I'll be sure to post the link to the pics.
