Convertible Rear Seat Box?

Convertible Rear Seat Box?
I am working with a 1999 Convertible Camaro.
I have been searching everywhere for a pre-made box to replace the rear seats. I can't do without my trunk space and I don't want the muffled sound with the top down. After all I am spending a lot of money for good clear sound so why would I want it muffled in the trunk?
Since the back seat area is nigh unusable as a passenger area for people (other than children and animals) why not use it for the sound system?
Does anyone make a pre-made 2 x 12" speaker box to fit in the back seat area?
Or maybe someone has done this conversion and can provide me with plans or details on the construction?
My brother has a 4 x 12" box setup in his truck that is small enough to fit in the back seat area. So 4x12" could also be an option if the box is made correctly.
Any suggestions on where to look??
Any help would be appreciated...

Re: Convertible Rear Seat Box?
Hey, did you get anywhere with this? I am looking at making a custom box for the back seats, with 6x9's mounted vertically on the outside and 10" subs on in the middle, amps mounted on the trunk side. I'm thinking quick disconnects for inputs and power.
Let me know if you came up with a solution here please?
Thanks,
Randy.

Re: Convertible Rear Seat Box?
I was never able to find any pre-made boxes so I am building my own. After doing some measurments it looks like (with the rear seats out) there is almost 11 square ft available.
So looks like I am going to build 3 separate boxes for that space.
Two boxes will be the same with a pair of 12's and one box will be a 5th order 15. The 12's will go on the outside and the 15 in the center with all attached together.
Will put the amps on top of the boxes. Will have a 2000 watt for each pair of 12's and maybe a 1000 for the 15 all of which will be the Orion HCCA amps and speakers.

Re: Convertible Rear Seat Box?
This is what I ended up with.
My brother donated the sub box and amp, so I have exactly $0 invested so far in that...which is awesome. That was about the amount my wife was insisting I spend on subs...
It's not a perfect solution, but it's removable if I ever want to use the trunk space, and I still have the back seats for my kids (who am I kidding, my golf clubs are back there WAY more than my kids)
Now I just need to replace the OEM speakers with some nice A/M replacements...
