IROCET

The other day the clock/info screen on my Monsoon CD player quit lighting properly. If you are in a shaded area with the lights off you can see the lights on the screen but it is very dim and difficult to see. In full sun or with the lights on at night you cannot see anything on the screen. All other lights work on the head unit, it's just the clock/info screen. I swapped it with another Monsoon CD player I had and it does the same thing, so I am thinking the issue is in the car, but I am at a loss for what to check. I have messed with the wiring harness at the head unit thinking it was a bad connection there, but nothing. All fuses, etc are good and all of the other lights in the car work properly when using the dimmer switch. Any ideas?
