On the subject of the email about possible design changes and a 6th Gen being the only option if even any small changes are implemented.

2016 starts the changeover from Zeta platform, in which the Camaro currently sits, to the new, and smaller, Alpha platform (along with CAFE regulations but that's another story). Whether we see a 6th gen in 2016 would remain to be seen but I don't think I'd rule it out. I'd suspect to also see some major changes for the 2013 model year. You have the possibility of a C7 corvette coming out soon which will implement a new generation of small block, the 5.5 liter being used in the C5R's for the ALMS and some speculation about an even smaller displacement turbocharged V8 (which I hope doesn't happen). But you can garantee any of these new features brought to the Corvette will soon follow in the Camaro (ie: ZL1 technologies were developed the same way through the ZR1 and CTS-V). But I think we can assume a 6th gen is in the works for sooner rather than later! But they do have A LOT to live up to after the success of what they have on the table right now! And a design bomb on the 6th gen could have catastrophic effect on the future of Camaro once again. But I think we all have more faith in the engineers at GM than we ever have. And our loyal Camaro owners and enthusiasts will only help even more!

Also, keep in mind this new LFX V6 for 2012 looks to have been designed in mind to implement twin turbo technology. Those cylinder heads with "cast-in" exhaust manifolds look to be a perfect place for the factory to "bolt-on" a set of turbochargers. We have to be prepared for the flagship motor to switch from our beloved large displacement V8 to a force inducted V6. The V8 would not go away, as that would take sales and throw them out the window, but it may be a secondary option on the SS/Z28/ZL1/Berlinetta down the road.
