Thanks for commenting about the Corvette experience. I had meant to discuss this with you, last week -- but it slipped my mind. I really was curious about your C6 experience. When I was 30, all I could think of was "I've got to get a 'Vette". Now-a-days, not so much. The ZL1 is sooooo inviting. But, with two in college, this good dad has to wait

Corvettes rock! ZL1's a beast too. The entire 5th generation lineup is cool.

Still ....driving a manual vette with the Z51 and the NPP is a fun ride. I did the D shaped DSV all alcantara steering wheel, a hud, a booster mod and a new Airintake (just yesterday) and the vettes a blast.

I dig taking the roof off with the a/c on..its a nice cruiser that tops 190mph does zero to 60 mph in 4 flat right out of the box..Pulls 1.0 lateral corner 'gs..

Its a hell of a deal too..

$40 grand and you're in a new one these days (base car).. 47 grand if you want a manual coupe Grand sport with dry sump oiling systems...and if you buy preowned...

Don't need the roof off experience...(which I now love in my 50's) a preowned Z06 with low mileage is 40 grand too..

I understand Jason's desire to let someone else take the huge depreciation hit on a new car... and have some waxers low mileage Vette be his next new ride..(maybe)

remember its still a chevy....

Needs a manual though! IMO and you gotta dig roof off if your buying a z51 or grand sport....otherwise buy the Z06...(preowned in my opinion just make sure the previous owner was a waxer at heart..)

One last thing...when the runflats wear out...BUY NON runflats..I got hankook evo 12's for 700 delivered for all four.. Handle and perform as strong as Michelins PS2's according to car and driver..and I'd have to agree..

I'm a huge camaro fan...yet I'm driving new vettes for the past dozen or so years..

Last one was a Z06 and it was a beast....

Can't go wrong with one of those ...as a stop gap till your camaro yearing kicks back in..
