paint or not to paint

Posted 01-09-2013 at 05:36 PM by BLUROK87
hello, i just joined up here and want to know what you think. i have an all original 87 350tpi IROC.bought from the original owner, never seen winter, and garaged its whole life..fairly pristine except for the 25 years of paint chips and minor scratches.should i paint this or is it worth more original? I was also thinking of some bolt ons such as cat back exhaust, custom wheels. and some minor suspension work, as these can be put back to stock easily....whaddaya think?

Paint it, see if you can get the original paint for GM? First thing I would do is weld on sub frame contectors especially if you have t-tops. Exhaust ok, wheels nah unless they are trashed. Keep it stock as possible.

thanks for the input, it will definitely be the stock GM quasar blue when done, but i have reservations about welding onto the sub-frame...kinda permanant dont you think? it has the first set of tires on it still that are only half gone. so i dont think body twist from hammering on it is an issue. i didnt buy it to beat it....what about bolt on strut brace? any benefit?as i have seen a few with them
