Re: Jan '11 Sales

BTW does anyone look at anything besides Camaro and Mustang numbers on here?

If so any recommendations on the format? Or anything else you'd like to see?

Damn, Mustang down again When is Ford going to take my advice, junk the 3.7 V6 in the base car and make the current 5.4 SC the base engine - I think everybody wants 550hp for under 30 grand - Anyways 2014 cant get here fast enough!

4 LFA's ? I wonder what famous people Toyota tapped to lease them to? IIRC from the get go, the LFA is only supposed to be a rolling billboard for Lexus - rich ugly obscure people need not apply.

CTS is up 70% over last year, I wonder how much the Coupe and Sport Wagon have factored into the sales increase?

DTS is up over 120% over Jan. 2010...... Fleet sales?

Did GM quit making the Meduim Trucks, Kodiak/Top Kick?

I wonder why Cobalt was left off of the list, it would have been nice to compare Cruze numbers with.

    Good questions...

Medium trucks were done as of July 31st 2009...I thought it was odd the Cobalt wasn't listed.

12,962 Cobalts delivered last Jan to 13,631 Cruze's

It looks like the Cobalt sold 406 last month according to the report.

Where it says "** Calendar Year 2010 includes C" the 2010 sales were 12,962, so obviously that was for the Cobalt (that and it fits alphabetically).

Didn't Toyota miss something like a week's worth of sales last year because of plant shut downs? If so

    Way to go Camaro!

It really makes you wonder how Kia even makes money with a transaction price that is 1/2 GM's. They must be building those cars SUPER cheap.

LOL ... but really, I wonder why Mustang is lagging so badly? I know not everyone cares about engines, but still, I would've expected the new engines to increase sales if anything, yet they're going in the other direction.

Not sure if it counts in sales but GM is pushing a $349 lease on the CTS sedan and coupe right now.
