While at the Gathering 6 in Atlanta on Memorial Day weekend I was talking with Scott Settlemire about the next SS silvrado, he told me to come to the F Body Celebration in Bowling Green in Sept. and I wouldn't be dissapointed. And then after reading on GM's Inside News (http://www.gminsidenews.com/SS_pics.htm) about the SS going to debut at an unlikely show in sept I kind of figure that Bowling Green is the initial debut for the new truck. But from the pics i have seen and serious lack of any real hp i think i am already disappointed

Oh great, show a bunch of f-body owners (who will have just past the end of the line of OUR cars) another half-hearted effort and the prostituting a legendary moniker..........weeeeeeeeeeee....I think I'll be off somewhere shaking my head.....Oh, I know, I'll just stay over at the Vette plant hoping that they DON'T build a C6 as fugly as the one shown in other threads by Road & Truck (I know it's track, but look at the crap we have to look at)....where will it end?

I think you summed up my emotions perfectly Doug. With everything else going on, we also better pray that the C6 looks NOTHING like the R&T rendition. There are no redeeming/memorable styling qualities in that thing at all, NOTHING in it that says Corvette (Mazda perhaps? )

My how GM has lost its way.
