Re: 2015 Colorado Reveal

These renderings will give us a good idea of what the U.S. spec Colorado will look like.

There are rumors that a diesel will be available, but probably not in the first year.

Re: 2015 Colorado Reveal

Judging by the cloaked pic. the Colorado doesn't appear to have a slanted hood and nose that the renderings have.

I'll agree that the hood line is not correct on the renderings. But I'd bet the renderings are about 90-95% correct and give us a very good idea of what the U.S. spec Colorado will look like.

Here is a sneak peek at the grills. Based on the renderings and what we've seen so far, I think they are going to be good looking trucks.

According to GM Inside News:
Based on similar underpinnings to the Colorado sold in select global markets, the North American Colorado is expected to showcase a new look inside and out, as well as entirely different powertrains from the global truck.
The global truck is only available with diesels so I guess that rules out those engines - unless the US is getting some revised version.

I don't think so. If the rumor of the diesel engine coming in the second year is true, then GM's statement remains accurate.

New teaser pic.

This appears to be a Z71 (gunmetal colored grille and projector lights).

Re: 2015 Colorado Reveal

No regular cab is interesting. If that's true, they had better have added a normal standard bed length to the crew cab configuration in addition to that tiny thing they called a bed on the last Colorado crew cabs.

Re: 2015 Colorado Reveal

- no regular cab
- no manual transmission
- no ZQ8 sport suspension

I'm sure it will be a great truck, but I'm utterly disappointed with GM and Chevy (& probably GMC, too) for not offering those 3 things in the new truck.

Re: 2015 Colorado Reveal

I guess not offering a regular cab makes sense. There is only one wheelbase overseas which offers a regular cab long bed (8'), extended cab standard bed (6') and crew cab short bed (5'). For the US version they probably only wanted to develop one other wheelbase and between going smaller or larger, the crew cab 6' bed option would probably be the most profitable, and be easier to meet CAFE requirements with the larger footprint.
