2014 Regal - GS now available with AWD
2014 Buick Regal Infused with New Technology
The Regal Turbo gets a power bump from 220hp to 259hp and available AWD. Unfortunately, the GS gets the same powertrain meaning a loss of power from 270hp. The GS is basically now a body kit, brakes, and suspension package. The manual remains available with FWD, but no manual AWD.
-Exterior design with signature wing-shape LED lighting; revised interior designed around next-gen IntelliLink infotainment and new advanced safety features
-More efficient and more refined 2.0L turbo engine delivers 18 percent more power in Regal Turbo
-New all-wheel-drive system incorporates electronic limited-slip differential to help optimize traction in all driving conditions

If GM wanted to they could just get 300HP out of the 2.0T, that would save a lot of weight.

The Regal and XTS are both on Epsilon II so since the XTS is getting the TTV6 I don't see why it wouldn't fit in the Regal.
The Impala is also on that platform - bring on the Taurus SHO competitor.

The GS is/was one of the more disappointing vehicles in recent years. I was pretty interested in it when the rumors started to circulate that it would be an AWD TTV6 with a manual. Instead, we got a milktoast "sporty" car that would get roasted by a V-6 Camry or Accord and stickers for nearly $40k. Now the refresh includes optional AWD with a decrease in power and no manual. Wow did GM miss an opportunity to make something of this car

EDL is disppointing
EDL is just a way of saying we couldn't afford a Limited-Slip Differential on this car, and threw an open differential instead.
We use the ABS system to selectively apply brake pressure to individual wheels to transfer power to the other wheel.
Sounds good on paper, but in real world, EDL systems suck when you're stuck in deep snow.
