2013 GMC Acadia
Acadia gets MCE w new front, and rear trim and interior.
Interior looks really nice. I am not sure if I am feeling the large squared off grill on the front, I need to see it in person for final judgement. The rear looks dead on a Saturn Outlook now.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
They needed to use the spare parts.
I'd like to see what they have in store for the Traverse. It really needs some help in the looks department compared to the other Lambda crossovers.
This also shows the styling direction GM is heading with GMC overall. If we get a Colorado twin it should be a pretty good looking truck.

I like the grill on the maroon one, I'm not sure about the headlight. I need to see it in person. The black D-pillar does make it look like an Outlook rear.
Edit: This red one looks good.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
Been reading that a few people believe that the new rear not only looks like an Outlook, but it actually IS Otlook sheetmetal on the tailgate and quarters...
Havent looked close enough to confirm, but from a first look, I wouldnt be surprised.

Some differences between the lower valences, under the lift gate and the tail lamps, but other than that, everything else from the A pillar back seems to be the same.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
Fine with me, actually, as I always like the Outlook better than the Acadia. Plus, the somewhat "squared off" profile of the wheel wells lines up with the styling of the Terrain, I guess.
This looks like a worthwhile improvement to the Acadia overall, especially inside. I'm looking forward to seeing the Traverse and Enclave...

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
While I get it, it sure does feel................well, 'cheap' that they just took the back half of the old Saturn sheetmetal and said "ta-da!"
I mean, to put it in a perspective we may take closer to heart... say Pontiac was axed off when the 4th gen was still being built... then they 'freshen' the Camaro by just grafting on the Firebird's quarters and rear, but with a little different taillight lens.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
Ya know, even though the back end looks just like the Outlook's, I bet if you were to actually measure every part, they'd all be different.
Which to me is sadder.
They spent money on all new tooling only to have it look just like what they built 3-4 years ago.
Still a good looking SUV.
I'm not sure about the front end. I don't hate it but I don't love it. I just don't know.
I know that front end would look good on the new Canyon.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
He is a pic. of the rear of the non-Denali version. Note: no visible exhaust tips, which I think is a little odd.
Looks like there is not any powertrain changes except the 6-speed tranny has been revised. Given the price difference, I still think the Denali version should have a 300hp 3.6L to differentiate from the standard Acadia.

Re: 2013 GMC Acadia
I've seen some close up interior shots elsewhere that show nice looking stitching on the dash, accent lighting, etc. The dash board at least seems much improved.
I'll wait to see what they have in store for the Enclave, but the lack of change in the powertrain is disappointing. Many rumors were claiming a turbo 3.0 or at least the 300+ hp 3.6 from the Camaro.
The improved infotainment system was much needed, though.
