2013 Chevy Impala First Look

Re: 2013 Chevy Impala First Look
That rendering is pretty clearly based on a RWD car (G8 came to mind immediately), and it looks like 30thZ286speed has found the exact image that was the starting point.
Since the new Impala has already been seen in spy shots, and it is based on the larger Epsilon platform (e.g. LaCrosse), I suspect this rendering is pretty far off. Maybe a few of the cues will carry over, but the stance clearly won't.

I noticed these spy shots haven't been posted in this thread yet. Gives you an idea of the overall shape.

Re: 2013 Chevy Impala First Look
First off as Guy said, Chris came up with this on his own after doing some studying of spy shots of the Impala available.
Second, Chris is hardly ever wrong. You may not like what you see in his chop, but guess what. It may very well be what we get.
The fact that Chevrolet has a "hit" even still in todays current market means they won't do too much to tinker with it or abandon their current market. They'd be fools to.
They are going to play it VERY safe with the next Impala. Why? They've already covered their tracks by saying a new vehicle will debut for NASCAR. "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday" is back, but the Impala will not differ too far from what Pauwels has come up with.
They won't abandon the new Chevy "DNA" and if they did, there goes an entire market of buyers. Some 100k plus per year.
Just my $.10.
