From Autoblog:

Battle of the Pony Cars: Chevrolet Camaro (84,391, -4.4%) beat Ford Mustang (82,995, +17.8%)

Unfortunately for Buick, I think that Regal's biggest competition is the Verano. I like the Regal, but it's pricey and for a lot of average shoppers, you're not giving up much going with Verano.

I think Buick has a lot more problems than just that. Buick has no identity as brand, and the Regal has some interior issues it needs to address. That center console with the non touch screen Navi is UN-useable. GM has some pretty bad Navi systems (i.e the Corvette) but the Buick Regal one takes the cake as it also ruins the whole center console. I'm fairly good at using techy stuff and I can't figure out that one. It's integrated with everything so it's difficult to use the radio, it's difficult to find the clock, it's difficult to plug in an MP3, and forget about using the Navi it just doesn't work. Plus it isn't a touch screen, so the sheer number of buttons on the console is crazy. I mean there are 40 buttons and you have to find the exact one to do the right thing. If you don't you have to start all over. So imagine the target buyer, (who I assume is 50+ years old and not tech oriented at all) they'd have no clue as how to use it.

Edit: I see on some of the models they have touch screen. Maybe they updated it. I'd have to try it out, but Buick (and GM in general) is reallly behind when it comes to user-friendly consoles with center screens though.

Sorry for the rant... But I know Buick could do soooo much better.

GM's MyLink and IntelliLink are pretty intuitive. I had no problem using MyLink in a 2012 Equinox I rented this past spring. Didn't have to read the manual to figure it out, either.

Buick is such a dud. They should have saved Pontiac instead.

I agree, the Regal was selling good until the Verano showed up. Last year GM sold just over 40K Regals. What the Regal needs is the 2.8 Turbo V6 that is available in Europe. That would give the Regal GS performance boost it needs.

I think I got it, Camaro beat Mustang a win but not by so wide a margin this year.

This is from my regular Mustang hangout;

I don't know if that was as much to do with discounts or the freshened styling?

On the matter of discounts, I really dont see them in my area GM or Ford but I've recieved an email from Shelby listing some pretty good ones in the New York and Florida areas as they tried to hawk post title cars.

speaking of which I've heard Ford might take over production of the GT350 as well - also any more word on an LS7 powered Camaro?

Nothing new then ::fingers crossed:: This is a Camaro I'd really like to see happen now that the ZL1 is configured the way it is.

Using the LS7 for the top tier Camaro didn't make much sense to me but as a stand alone SE I really dig the idea, especially if GM was looking for a way to enhance the 1LE or get more mileage out of the hardware.
