auto-x: a sport of rationalization

There is no real way to measure up your success after a day of racing auto-x, so I use the rationalization method.

I raced my 99 trans am today. It was my first time racing an auto trans. The car has 85k miles, nasty worn out stock shocks, and it otherwise totally stock except for an intake, pcm tune, and a 35mm front sway bar. The tires are some random junk I had laying around.

I kicked *** in F-stock today. I won second place. I got beat by a guy driving an M6 LS2 GTO, and he had years of experience. I outgunned a modded suspension 04 ford cobra, a slightly modded G8 GT, and an LS1 GTO.

My worn out mostly-stock TA impressed me so much on the track today, that I'm upset I'll be ditching it in a month. I had no idea that a stock TA would turn times close to 3-series BMW's.

At the same time, I'm SOOO stoked about auto'xing my 2010 SS camaro. I hope they leave me in F-stock. If the zeta G8 was in that class, they ought to have the zeta camaro in F-stock too.
