I got hit today on my passengers side door. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for it? Also it messed up a 2"x3" area directly behind the door, and about 1' of the bottom area below the door has been flattened. Anyone know where to find these and about how much it will all cost? I cant get it appraised until the 31'st so i want to start looking for cheapest parts now. Thanks in advance.

These guys are the cheapest, they have a wide variety of used parts, they are pretty cool guys, and YOU CAN ALWAYS GET HOLD OF THEM ON THE PHONE! If you call Speedautomotive be prepared for weeks of phone tag. I get all my parts from TA Creations, I have been to the actual shop and they are all stand up guys. They have actually told me not to buy parts from them because I could fix what I already had and save $$$, and they went through the process of fixing the part on the phone.

Billy Grahm salvage is good too, but they are expensive. You can typically get hold of them too.

I re-read your original post, did you say that the lower rocker panel or quarter panel was hit also? If anything steel got hit you are going to need bodywork, or at least paintless dent removal if its not too bad. If not nevermind. My door was backed into by my sister in her mustang, it is fiberglass so I repaired it. If you don't have access or skills in repairs than definately try to find a used door the same color as your car in a Junkyard or F-Body salvage yard. It might take a while longer but you will save yourself $$$$$$. Most people that did a 98+ front end conversion spent between $1500-$2500, I found used parts all prepainted in my color and spent $350. If you buy new parts it will cost you a limb. If you absolutely want new parts get them from GMpartsdirect.com. Good luck, here's the other dedicated salvage yards.

yeah about 2/3 of the stuff is metal. I have the p/n for the door skin, the rocker and the rear quarter panel, $887.34 from GM for all 3 523.53 from GM parts direct. $363.81 savings, but don't know how much shipping charges would add with either co. I'm not too worried about price, the ins company hasn't cut me a check yet, I still have an apoint. on monday for an estimate, then I'll either freak or rejoice. I'm just tryin to get a good idea of how much everything would cost so I can quickly decide which way to go.
