Finally...the beast has been started...

..after going around to the local retards at Lordco and Canadian Tire...we couldn't find an install tool to install the hub..or is some cases a pulley..the Canadian Tire retard said a hub doesn't exist anywhere on the engine...anyway, off to Lordco...another bunch of retards..."oh, just bash it with a hammer"...well that had nothing so we stole a big socket and lightly hammered it on...it was all good...the FLP's were a major pain to line up but finally we got it. So Matt and I filled her up with coolant...and fired that baby up...my heart was beating so hard...so I turned the key and I **** my pants..OMG..anyway's everything is fine...I'm gonna drill the TB plate to raise the idle for now till I get edit...their is an engine code..but I removed the EGR. A huge thanks to Matt...he's no longer an LS1 virgin:D

Hey Mike there is a set screw that can be moved to raise the idle, atleast there was on my bros ta. Thats all i have done to help keep the idle sane :)

Ohh Yeah the set screw didn't even pop into mind :) should somewhat take care of some of the problem, remember Mike, this is the 228R cam :)

Hey Shawn, thanks...I'm heading out to the flea market..I'll check if your home...as for the car...I had to increase the idle to 1600 rpm to stay running:rolleyes: ....damn...I need a tune. The onlt other issue is that I burned an O2 sensor wire..too close to the headers..so far I'm at stage one of my break in.


LT1Z28..if you are reading this, what idle is your bro's car running at?

o2 sensor wire burnt? On what side? both were well away from the headers for the time being, not for driving though cuz they needed to be zapped strapped, you have another one though :)

...the O2 wire shifted towards the header and started to melt....Matt brought up an interesting subject..here's the quote:

The only problem I see with that though is timing being a wie bit too high at WOT because of the tinkering with temp.

...after endless reading on LS1tech.com...I've come to the conclustion..too many mods:rolleyes: ...since edit is out of reach for now this is what I have to do:

-cut back on the idle screw..right no my TPS is throwing a code..too much idle
-get Autotap..ChriSS..did I mention I love you
-drill TB plate 1/16" at a time till my IAC counts are at 30-40 so i can add timing safely and / or add a timing tricker to make the PCM thinking the air is colder
-now ever so slightly adjust the idle screw..maybe a half a turn to a turn
-then I should be set..now the tranny computer next:rolleyes:

LS1 edit....1000.00 US...3 guys...250.00 each...draw back..one cable...:(

As for your question on uploading, I responded in the LS1 section, but I think there are no current options other than Edit (as Tuner Cat is way behind completion schedule).

I started a thread regarding LS1 Edit. I'm in on getting it whenever anyone else is. Is 4 the max? I was thinking it was 5, but I could be wrong.

I can answer my own question. 4 is the max.
