are the aftermarket hoods close enough to the actual SS hood that i cna buy a SS stripe kit and it will look perfect?? i'm thinking that maybe there are slight differences between the hoods.

I want to do something like that, but don't want to buy the "real" SS hood but will buy a SS hood stripe kit. THanks

 

Hawk, the stripe kit worked fine on my aftermarket SS hood. It may really depend on who makes the hood though. Before buying an SS hood I checked to make sure the scoop was the same dimensions as the real SS unit.
