goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires

has anyone tried these or seen these in action? i am looking at these kdw's, potenza's, or the sz-50's. the only thing i need is straight line traction on a dry road. these will be driving tires so i don't want to go to a nitto 555R for example. thanks

I have SZ50's right now and will be going to F1 GS-D3's when my ZR1 upgrade is complete.

For now I use Nitto 555R in my 20,000 miles/year convertible... and LOVE them.

Useless in the snow, but rain is fine at 60mph, and dry grip is GREAT. Wouldn't consider anything else unless you're as wide as 315's... then sticky street tires would be fine.

My set up now:
-------------------
Firestone FireHawk SZ50 EP 245/50ZR16 up front (on GM chrome 16"x8")
Nitto 555R 245/50R16 out back (on GM chrome 16"x8")

Next Set Up:
----------------
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 275/40ZR17 up front (on GM chrome 17"x9.5")
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 275/40ZR17 out back in winter (on GM chrome 17"x9.5")
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD 315/35ZR17 out back in summer (on GM chrome 17"x11")

After the BFGoodrich's wear out, I'll be slapping some Nitto 555R 315/35R17's or perhaps some 555RII, just to keep her pointed down the straights a bit better.

Trust me, Nitto's are THE street tire to have. They only last ~1 year (15,000 to 20,000 miles), but man do they hook! (I've got 2 blown posi's to prove it )
