Endurex Lifters

I just had two Endurex lifters lifters fail within 500 miles of eachother. Motor is a 396, solid cammed, 256/262 .629/.629 with 1.5 rockers.

I am not using restrictors and the motor has about 1000 miles on it. Previously, they were used in a motor with restrictors for about a 800 miles.

Has anyone else had problems with these?

Wow, quite a cam for a street car.

I used the Endurex lifters in one of my small block builds. I sold the car here maybe 6 months ago... ~12k on the odometer and no problems. I see the owner at the track quite frequently and the car is still running great.
I also have three friends I can count right now, who are using the Endurex lifters... no problems there either. I'm baffled except to think that you may have a problem somewhere, like lifter bores that are shifted or are in poor relation geometry-wise. I dunno, you're only the 2nd person I've heard to have a problem with them.

Best of luck in finding the problem.

I heard second hand of a couple other failures, but they do have a great reputation. I talked to Comp and they insist its an oiling problem.
