JeffK95Z 03-18-2003, 11:10 PM You realise those reviews are 3 years old right?!
It retailed for $1,000 US 3 years ago...
Also, compaq doesn't even sell 21" monitors any more, so almost brand new must mean, barely used, but a few years old?
Not slaggin or anything, just the research I just came up with as I was also interested in this monitor
I only have a 17" and would love to step up to a much larger screen... I'm sure its a great monitor, but its 3 year old technology which should be pointed out :)
So when was this monitor purchased? If the price comes down, and it doesn't sell to Ellis, I might be very interested!!
Jeff
Punisha69 03-19-2003, 10:49 AM 3 years old? really? i didn't know. the monitor isn't mine. I"m trying to sell it for a friend of mine..... thanks for the 411... i'll do some more research on it, and let you know
JeffK95Z 03-19-2003, 12:12 PM Its rather hard to tell a monitors age by looking at it if its in good condition, and its also hard to not have a monitor in good condition honestly :)
Unless someone was spilling crap all over it, or having kids marking on it with crayons and such, most look brand new...
Does your friend have a receit saying when it was purchased or anything like that?
From the reviews, that came out in 2000, it was a great monitor!
And compared to the 21 inchers of today, it ranks on the low scale of some of the best (which is still fairly good!)
I'd be betting that its out of warrenty, and a 3 year old monitor (if its truely that old? *shrug*) COULD die within a year or so... so its kinda risky :( Honestly, I wouldn't pay much more then 375 bucks for it... But thats me... I'm not much of a risk taker, heheh
Good luck tho dude!

:D hmmmm. I can picture it now. Houman walking up to the US border with a 21" monitor. .... Look out, a brown guy!!! and he's carrying something!!! he must be a terrorist!!!!! Call in the Marines!!!!!! haahhaha:D :D
Sorry Houman, but with the war about to kick off and the state that the US is in... As a brown guy myself, I wouldn't go anywhere near the US border right now!!
OneFlyn95z28 03-20-2003, 12:33 AM Well i was all set to get this thing and give the word....

Punisha69 03-20-2003, 02:30 PM September 2000
so its like 2 years old
JeffK95Z 03-21-2003, 01:17 PM Almost 2 and 1/2 but close enough ;)
If it doesn't sell, and he's willing to come down quite a bit (read 350ish) he can definately sell it...
but then he can probably just put it in the buy and sell and have it sold for the 600 or so that he wants...
