About a month back I posted that I am looking for a reliable Torque Converter for my 67 T350, Well its coming about buying time and a few people recommended Coan TC's. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with Coan they would like to share before i shell out the dinero???;)

From everything I've heard over the years, Coan makes a great product, high-quality. They are a little more pricey than many others on the market, but you definitely get what you pay for.

We have used a Coan 8" 5500 stall in our race car for over 12 years with flawless performance and the previous owner had it for at least 5 years. When we switched from a TH400 to a PG 6 years ago we had them split the case, adjust the vains and replace the sprag. The also balanced and added an anti-balooning plate to it. They said it was in good shape and didn't really need to be taken apart then but with the TH400 exploding it was the only way to get the inside properly cleaned. I would recomend them. They have a good service department and have been very helpful when we bought our PG from them.
