Angry man ...what did i do now!!!!

hi there,

today i recived my scanmaster..which i was gonna sell ..but i decided to keep it. Anyways so i tore the car apart running wires from my overhead console ( from 3rd gen) and ran the wires down the side. looking for a hot and ground.. i used my starter button wires!!!!

this was my first mistake..and when i started the car up the starter button engaged after the car was started!!!!

so i'm hearing this sounds right, and i donno what it is..its a screech and it sounded like it was comming from the engine bay. i couldn't tell what it was because of my cut out was open and all the noise was there. so i leave the car running ....and cap the cut out!!!!!

then i still can't figure out that the starter was engaged so i shut the car off after3 mins or so with the starter grinding against my flywheel !!!!!!

i finially figured it out and re-wired the scanmaster off my starter button and just hooked it up my to my red top battery.!!!

so how much damamge am i looking at...the car starts fine and it starts quick!!!

its a new starter (1 year ago) and the flywheel has 120k on it!!

am i gonna have to replace my flywheel?

you should be ok, just keep a close ear to the car each time you start it for the next while. if you hear it grinding that may be an indication that the teeth are damaged.
but then again....i am speculating.

Your probably o.k I would pull the inspection cover off and have a look see just to make sure there arent any mangled teeth.
