LT1 VS TPI throttle body

Hey guys,
I bought a N20 kit from my friend at school. It came off of a 93 Z with a LT1. It is a nitrous works kit with the plate that bolts on to the throttle body.I just went to the local speed shop and bought a shark nozzle so I could run it on my Rustang. My question is when I come home I want to install this system on My Z when I come home for superfest. Is there a difference between the LT1 T.b. and the TPI T.B.?? If it will not bolt up then I will be selling this plate or be willing to trade it for a TPI plate if anyone is interested.I am willing to bet that they are different.
Thanks in advance.

they are off james, i don't have a extra tpi plate but if you use a nozzle you'll be fine. it all depends on what your trying to do.

why not go direct port!

by the way, are you going to be down in time for friday or not?

Jeff,

#1 Direct Port would be great but, I have a small funding problem with that. I could run the shark nozzle if I had to but would like to run the plate to try it out. As for Friday I am guessing you are talking about Superfest Friday Right?? If so then I will be there. I graduate June 27th and will be home I am guessing June 29th.That is if my trusty steed does'nt let me down on my 2100 mile jaunt home. Would'nt miss it for the world.

Well I got it figured out I think.I took the plate to school today.I have access to TPI and LT1 Throttle bodies. The plate physically bolts up to both throttle bodies. The teacher is going to let me check out one of the shop 92 Z's to check it out.I think it is going to be OK.Just thought I would let ya know.

it isn't so much that it doesn't bolt up but that the seal will be off; double check your your going to have a nice mess up fuel from that plate.

Thanks for the info Jeff. That is why i am going to double check it on the schools Z.That way if it won't work then I can sell it and buy the TPI plate that will.Just so you know,You probably won't see me around on the board to much anymore. My roomate and I decide we are tired of being raped by *** cable $56 a month for internet only not including cable tv.we cancelled our service today(why it is still working I dunno??) as both of us only have 3 months left out here we decided we could do with out as we need to be saving money for our move back to home.I will still check the board periodically when I am at my friends houses. If anything comes up good if you still have my number, call me and let me know.I will be having Red Roc wrench and Harold be watching for me as well.It sucks to be without internet but I have to at least for now.We will see you all in JUly.One good thing now though,Red Roc won't know what I have up my sleeve for him when I get home You better watch out Andy
