I just got the 100 jets in and the car is still popping and spitting black smoke at wide open.
Someone mentioned to me that a heater is critical to get the right psi.. He says with temps like they are now i'm lucky to see 600psi which would be a good cause of this extreme rich condition!
any advise?

You need a pressure gauge to moniter pressure and it should be in the 900-1000 psi range. If lower you well be rich. A bottle warmer like the NX unit well keep the pressure in the desired range.

Bottle pressure is critical for proper/consistent operation, usually 900-1000 psi. Too low and the nitrous/fuel mix will not be right, system will run rich. Heating the bottle will raise pressure. I would get a heater and a nitrous gauge also if you don`t have one.Ditch the platinum plugs, every manufacturer does not recommend them.
Looks like drop top posted while I was typing:D What he said!

oh i did, changed my jets to 100hp shot and put in some autolite 103's at a 40 gap.
It seems to do a little better, i'm going to try to locate a good nos gauge... any ideas for a good remote gauge?

low psi wont cause popping low psi can cause almost nothing.....i had it before...and yes u need a bottle heater until it gets to summer when u will prob need a purge
for a gauge i would recommend autometer and mount it in a pod

Low psi WILL NOT cause popping. Popping is usually caused by a lean condition or bad plugs have you checked them?
