Grand Prix GTP supercharger

I found one of these at a junkyard, would it be worth it to get a custom setup so it can work on a trans am???

I'm not looking to boost more than 4 or 5 psi, can this supercharger even handle that kind of boost on a V8 like ours??

any and all info would be much apreciated.

I dont think that you would be able to make it fit without alot of modifications. I cat remember of hand but i think that the GTPs had eaton m90s. BBK uses them in a supercharger kit they make for Ford Explorers with 4.0 and for mustangs. If you were to mount it with a bracket off the drivers side head so the s/c is over the valve cover it could be made to fit. I think hood will hit though. If you dont have access to a welder and or a milling machine I wouldnt even attempt it.

I dont hink it would be worth doing, but you can mount them beside the motor or whatever. They will work on their side, and you can get an adapter that bolts to the bottom of the blower for regular tubing to connect to.
Here is the magnacharger site, eatons aftermarket company.

Good luck!

I've got a spare M90 i was going to try to use above the valve cover. Check thirdgen.org's forced induction board for a guy with 2 m90's

Its hard to say wether 1 would be enough, they guy mentioned above saw over 4.5 psi on a 305 TPI at 4krpm and there is anthor guy with a 5.0 LTD with one M90 that runs mid 11's

I decided to go with a M112, I started not too long ago.

here are some pictures, note they are kinda fuzzy and distorted because they where done with a webcam we bought back in the mid 90's
