Zaino removal
You can use any abrasive, of course, to remove Zaino. But, in the case of touching up paint, I'd use denatured alcohol mixed with water. Either that or a paint prep solvent like the kind painters use to strip waxes, oils, and silicones off the car for repainting.

After you Zaino your car for the first time you are not supposed to wash the car again with Dawn, you should be using the Z-7 Car Wash.
Where in TN are you located?
Around 50 miles east of Nashville in Alexandria.
I have not used zaino yet (really I've never even seen it that I know of). I was just wondering what effect it had and what you had to do to get it off

ie: if the first time you used Zaino on a car you didn't have time to clay the paint but now you want to.
Then you'd use dawn to wash followed by clay, right? Would that remove all the zaino and allow for a good platform to start from scratch?
You can always clay over the Zaino. This won't remove all the Zaino though, but you'll still get the full benefit of having clayed the car. But, if you really do want to start fresh again, you could use any abrasive, like paint cleaners or swirl removers, Or, for a more simple option, I'd just wipe the car down with a mixture of alcohol and water, about 50/50. Alcohol pretty much dissolves the Zaino polish. Doing just a DAWN wash probably won't be very effective at removing the Zaino, as it will not strip the Z polish. I've seen Sal even say Dawn won't remove Zaino, and I've tested it a couple of times and he's right, so there's really no need to use Dawn IMO. As you know, soaps like Dawn are effective at cutting oil, grease, etc. Most waxes are nothing more than oils and a little wax, so the Dawn cuts right through it, but since Zaino is not oily and contains no wax, it's much more resistant to this type of detergent.
If it were me, I'd just do a quick alcohol rub or just use a light abrasive paint cleaner....whichever you feel most comfortable with.

Actually... it just occured to me a few years ago my friend and I put 4-5 coats of Zaino on his laser red 94 Cobra over the course of about a month. Looked absolutely stunning... we put it side-by-side with a brand new (at the time) laser red Mustang GT... and his 5 year old 76k mile car's paint actually looked noticably better!

Anyhow.. the point of this story is that he was clueless about detailing, and one day he decided he needed to wash his car and he noticed he was out of car wash concentrate... I was out of town at the time and so his mother told him she always uses Ajax floor cleaner mixed with water!
Anyhow... needless to say there wasn't an spot of Zaino left on the car after he was done washing it.
