Kinda of a stupid question, but GMS makes or at least calibrate th z06 MAF's that are used on LT1's. They also make a regular MAF, which my friend bought and said he liked.

My question is since my Nu-tek 383, is all set, and bought all my parts. Which is better for the appication, over the stocker unit.

Z06 MAF or Granatelli Motor Sports MAF?? OR even just leave the stocker??

Z06 is far cheaper, and i was wondering if that had a profound impact on performance, or is it the meterials used in construction.

Any input will be much appreciated.

People mentioned to leave the stocker, but i mean would that be the best for performance?

Stock MAF should be fine. Aftermarket MAFs are usually hit and miss. The only benefit of aftermarket MAFs is that they sometimes lie about how much air is going into the engine to try to lean out the engine a little (with stock - (rich) programming). With a correct tune you shouldn't need to fool the computer into how much air is going into the engine.

Keep the stock one...save money and potential problems...

There is someone in the 9s on a stock MAF, I dont even know if he has aftermarket ends, but I wouldn't doubt it. Leave the GR unit alone IMO.

I might look into MAF ends that are larger, at least so you think your making it faster :)

stick with the stock MAF and tune it with LT1 edit or whatever tune you have or may get ;)
