Mac Headers....need help

I am getting ready to buy some used Mac mid length headers, what should they look like if they are coated like the seller claims?

They shouldn't really have any rust on them if they are coated. They should look nice and pretty

coated = if you clean and polish em off (if he hasn't already) they'll be nice and shiny

uncoated = rusty and nasty
