That above link leads to a cylinder and cam swap. The "445 HP," i'm assuming, is what you get after the set up? Yes or noooo!?!?!

Ive only heard horor stories when it comes to SLp
Im not saying there packages are bull**** but ill have to see one at the track going 10`s for me to believe the 445 rwhp
You know what I am saying. There are alot of companies claiming huge hp #`s and a few can back them up but not all.

With heads/cam it's possible, as long as you get some major tuning done, and assuming you have full intake and exhaust setup. And even then that's probably FWHP, not RWHP.

I wouldn't go with slp. What they're claiming 445hp isn't at the rear wheels and 445 at the flywheel is weak for an ls1. There are cam only ls1s making that much.

What do you guys suggest I use then? I want to build the engine up before I throw anytype of forced induction system on there. Granted this will be a long process, it's still knowing what the best is.

dont go with slp....
i would look into absolute speed heads and a custom grind comp cam that will defintly put you over 400 hp at the rear wheels...prob 430 with ls6 intake....

cartek's heads and cam packages regularly go 10's. they specialize in LS1's/LS6's. no joke. SLP is a joke.
good luck,

That package is a 445hp at the flywheel package. They have a new package which is well over 400 rear wheel horsepower, but I've not seen it advertised. It might be worth calling SLP about.
However, there are a lot of good packages out there. MTI, Thunder, Cartek, LG, etc. can all work up a good package, but it will be far more expensive than what you were looking at. Stage 2 heads alone can cost as much as the SLP package. Also, the SLP package doesn't even require a core, so you can keep your stock heads and sell them or whatever.
Just read through the archives of all the boards to find out what will work best for you. Call a reputable LS1 shop, at start a dialogue. Good luck.

I got Advanced Induction heads/cam setup and we're expecting around 430-440RWHP once we fix my compression. A 99 LS1 through a 10-bolt and aluminum DS put down 470RWHP and I've got a 12-bolt and Denny's Nitrous Ready DS.

Guys:
I was talking to my friend about the cam package and he said that my engine wouldn't be able to have a blower too? Is this true!?!?!?!!!!!!!!
Something about my compression ration being too high or low...I was tired :\
If this is true, is there a way I can work on the engine so it would be able to have the cam package + a blower?
