It sounds so similar to an ID Max V3 that it is scary. If your sub is 1 ohm mono stable it will be very hard to beat that sub, but it only comes in a dual 2 ohm configuration. superta 03-03-2003, 07:19 PM im in illinois....what kind of kickerrs? stik6shift98 03-04-2003, 12:15 AM i had a feeling ud be in il thats why id ask:D i can get pics of them...im not sure right off the top of my head... are u by chicago????? :D :D :D maddboost 03-04-2003, 10:11 AM Superta I work for a kicker dealer in illinois so if you are looking for some good stuff PM and we can talk. As far as a subwoofer in your price range Id recommend two 12 inch kicker comp vrs we have them on a special discontinued price of $88 each new in box with 1 year warranty if you install 3 if we do it. That would keep it in your price range but if you wanted something with alittle more bump to it I would recommend a pair of JL Audio 12W3V2s they are a cleaner sounding sub and better in the upper bass range than the kickers. Tho a pair will set you back $400. superta 03-04-2003, 05:46 PM yes im near chicago rthompson 03-04-2003, 06:19 PM If you want a roughly equivilant sub to the 12w3v2 that Madboost recommended, but don't want to pay the extra money just because it has a JL logo on it, check out the Elemental Designs E12k. They will be close to the $250 price range, work better in smaller boxes, and sound as good or better than the 12W3v2. stik6shift98 03-05-2003, 12:17 AM super ta catch me on aim: stik6shift98 or email me stik6shift98@team.camaroz28.com i got 2 subs and box thatd id let go for cheap....:D :D superta 03-05-2003, 08:56 AM RThompson- how about e designs "A" series...how are those i could just get one im not buying Crappy Kicker Comp VR's rthompson 03-05-2003, 05:56 PM Originally posted by superta RThompson- how about e designs "A" series...how are those i could just get one im not buying Crappy Kicker Comp VR's I am one of the few people to have actually heard one of the new A series subs and i can tell you that they are an absolutly amazing sub. Very similar sounding to the ID Max, probably moreso than the Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 that i previously mentioned for the simple reason that it has a bit more low end than the Magnum D2. All three are so similar sounding it is hard to tell the difference between them, but my personal pick is the E12A.... it has more low end than the similarly priced Magnum D2, and it is nearly identical in performance to the much higher priced ID Max, except the A can probably take a good amount more powe than the max since it has a 3 inch coil compared to the 2 inch on the Max. I LOVE the A series. nates95 03-12-2003, 10:03 PM With a mono amp you will want 2 subs other wise you wont be able to bring down the resistance to 2 ohm. Or you can get a dual 4 ohm sub as well. A alpine type r or two mtx 6000 series subs would work wonders. good luck | ||
