Will a NOS blow down tube and fuel prressure saftey switch work on a NX kit? NOS parts are a little easyer to find it sees like. Just wandering.

 

Most of the stuff out there is interchangable, but honestly I'd stick with nx. There seems to be less problems in terms of quality with the nx stuff.

 

Thanks. I'll see what I can come up with. The stuff is pretty comparable in price on a few of the sites I found. Guess I'll just have to have it shipped out here.

 

try ebay...i got my remote bottle opener on there...

nos stuff is cheper cuz it sux....their bottle opener is cheap because its not a true bottle opener like the nx one.....

 

I dont think NX or NOS manufactures the the hobbs switch. They probably get them from the same place anyway, so just go for the best price. And the NOS blowdown tube is a nice piece. Not all the NOS accessories are crap (course the temp switch on their bottle heater is)

 

But will the NOS stuff fit an NX kit. Like the NX fuel pressure safety switch, they have one that is just for the EFI kit. So do I just look for the EFI one at the best price

 

Most parts will, but you'll have to look at it on a case by case basis. The NOS fuel pressure safety switch will work on an NX or any other nitrous system. Yes, just get the best price on the EFI switch. There's an NPT fitting on the switch (I forget if it's male or female) and basically, you just splice it into your system with pipe fittings.

NOS nitrous solenoid
Compucar fuel solenoid, bottle, and lines
NX nozzle
TNT supply line from bottle
(and a few brass fittings from Home Depot and Ace Hardware, as well as a couple of Parker fittings.

Point is - dont feel like you have to use parts only from the kit manufacturer. Use whatever works best for you.

 

to get the blowdown tube to work with an NX bottle you need both the fitting to replace the blow off fitting that comes on your bottle AND the blowdown tube, so get the NX one and make sure you get the tube and fitting.
