help with scratches on windshield.....

i have many tiny scratches on my front windshield.......kinda looks like spider webs(?)........not really noticable with casual look but really shows up when driving on a sunny day and sun hits it just right..............
is there a (hopefully)easy way to get rid of these?

Zaino glass polish. Worked good on my windshield, and the original one in the 87 Formula. Leaves an odd haze for about 2 days afterwards though that you have to wipe a few times. Got rid of the scratches, so who cares.

Yes, an abrasive glass polish is where you need to start. I would second the Zaino Z12 Glass Polish. It will remove fine scratches, and anything heavier will need a heavier glass compound kit, like the kind the Eastwood company sells for restorations. Try the glass polish first a few times and see where you stand. It should turn out pretty good unless you have more serious glass problems.

About the hazing, this is normal for the Z12 polish, especially using it by hand. You really need a buffer to break the abrsaives in the Z12 down properly, otherwise a good amount of moderate pressure by hand will be needed. The haze is usually removed by wiping the glass with a good glass cleaner and a cotton towel or microfiber cloth after using the Z12 polish. A good Z7 wash should also remove any leftover haze.

I have a scratch on the passenger side of the windshield that has been there since I got the car. It is a scratch from the windshield wiper. I haven't been able to get it out with any cleaners/polishs. It is not too deep, I can run my fingernail over it. What do you think, Zaino 12, that stuff from Eastwood for restorations, or something else?

I'd go ahead and use the Z. If you can't feel it with your nail, it's probably small enough to be polished out easily. If not, at least it'll make the rest of the windshield nice :D
