camarokid128 02-26-2003, 03:29 AM Some of you may remember I posted my Camaro concepts here before and everbody said it was a little big so I've redone it to make it look smaller and put in different grills so maybe everybody could find one they liked, some with the bar across the grill and some without, and 2 different rally sport headlight choices. Also I've made some animations with the rs headlights flashing on and off. Now I don't know if my website is working right yet, cuz I just put it together yesteday, and I know some people have been having some trouble seeing it, but maybe it will work for everybody. Anyway tell me what you think, it's still totally retro by the way. Generation V Camaro (http://www.angelfire.com/retro2/camarokid128/)
Burmite 02-26-2003, 04:24 AM All I see are red X's for the pictures
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 06:29 AM Dammit, well im gonna spend some time this morning tying to figure out why its not working so i'll post again when i think its fixed
Darren94Z 02-26-2003, 08:01 AM Your pictures are linked to your C:\ drive and not your local host folder....:alert:
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 08:55 AM Thats very helpful Thank you, so now, tell me, how do I do that?
305fan 02-26-2003, 11:05 AM looks very good!
Gripenfelter 02-26-2003, 11:18 AM I'm anxious to see the new ones that are red Xs.
The rest look good.
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 11:30 AM I need ya'lls help, I need ya"ll to tell me which ones are workin on which pages so I will know which ones to fix, cuz they all look fine to me. Thanx
JEDCamino 02-26-2003, 12:24 PM That looks oh so nice!!!!
And the animations page is VERY cool!
I also like how you showed it next to the new Mustang concept. I like the Mustang fairly well, but your Camaro completely owns it! lol Keep up the good work!
BTW, you live in Springfield? That's only about 45-50 miles form me. Maybe not even that much.
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 12:29 PM I had noticed there was another Tennesse guy on here besides myself, Big up TN!
90 Z28SS 02-26-2003, 01:02 PM OH WOW !!! The body on front bumper are awesome . It is retro , but very very contemporary looking . The one thing I dont like at all though , is the headlights/grill ......love the lower bumper though:) Nice job man , what Im picturing in the headlight area and the rest of the car remaining the same ....I would buy that car .
Z28Marcus 02-26-2003, 02:32 PM Hey nice Job! Very modern, yet plenty of 1st gen in there for those of us who know what that is.
The way I see it, you and Raven99 are the clear leaders in the contest over at GMInsideNews. You guys rawk! And you sure make the long, dark wait for a 5th gen more bearable with your inspirational renderings!
97z28/m6 02-26-2003, 02:37 PM make mine black cloth seats and a 6sd thank you.
guess who 02-26-2003, 02:50 PM Too RETRO!:p :D
Red89GTA 02-26-2003, 06:28 PM I like em all, though the one I'd want would be the upper right in the first set, with the stripes and louvers. I like the dual rectangular lights w/ the bar going across the grill.
guess who 02-26-2003, 06:33 PM After a second look,Why the Belair concept wheel arch design?
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 07:03 PM You know, to be honest, when I first saw the new Nomad, I wondered why Chevy had made a new retro Camaro station wagon, becuz it had alot of the lines for what I had been thinkin about for my retro Camaro design. Just kinda ended up the same, but my Camaro designs all '69 Camaro, not Nomad if thats what your wunderin.
guess who 02-26-2003, 07:40 PM I see :D
The time spent and quality is great, but its another uninspiring retro car. To me that's BS. A new 1st Gen. I could just buy 1 if I felt like it and have the real thing, not a car that brings almost nothing new to the looks and design table.
camarokid128 02-26-2003, 08:08 PM Can ya'll suggest some other good Camaro and 5th Gen message boards, I'd kinda like to post my pix all over the place if I can.
0toinsanein5.4sec 02-26-2003, 08:13 PM www.cheersandgears.com is good. Altho it isnt specific to Camaros, its a GM enthusiast site with two concept sections in its message boards, post it in there.
BTW, I think your concept is very good, high quality, ect. but to me, there is just something wrong with the front end to me.
mastrdrver 02-26-2003, 09:12 PM Those are awsome drawings man. I really like the Z with the vents on the hood. I hope you are entering the contest on GM insider. I know you have one vote from me and I have a few friend that I think would agree with me.
Burmite 02-26-2003, 11:53 PM I think this is the first time ever I'm going to agree with IZ28!
I think that's WAY too retro. It reminds me of the Nomad wagon concept from a few years back. It just looks like a windtunnel friendly version of a 69. The drawings are incredible mind you and you have incredible skill as a concept artist. But it seems too unimaginative and VERY boring. No lines at all to it. It's a silver bullet with a 1st gen front and rear. I'd love though to see what you can create with your skill for a modernly styled 5th gen.
Z284ever 02-27-2003, 12:13 AM Beautiful work. But we've got to get off of this '69 Camaro kick.
camarokid128 02-27-2003, 08:38 AM I would have liked to do a modern Camaro or something off the wall, but by the time I had found out about the contest over at GMI I had to hurry to get the one I have done, thats why you see alot of the same pix cuz I just didnt have the time to get everything done I wanted to, so I just made the same car with different grills, and thats all I really had time for.
