Red97LT1 02-25-2003, 07:59 PM After two years of not having a system in my car,i have decided to do another setup. Here is what i have>>>>Just bought a Eclipse CD5442 off a friend of mine, figure that was a pretty good hu to start with. Now i need a box, subs and amp.Would like to keep it around the 600.00 or so price range. I know that i will probably get my box from subthump, but what about the subs and amp? I have t-tops so take that into consideration. Can't decide to get a stealth box or a dual box??
megabass 02-25-2003, 08:05 PM I thought you wanted a milhouse box:)
firebirdude 02-25-2003, 08:17 PM Decide on which box you are going to use and I would be happy to help.:) Thought about doing driver AND passenger side stealth boxes?

Let's see...What has happened since then. Oh yeah, I've been recommending the elemental designs subs to practically everybody and anybody:) http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep/kseries.htm
I think the shiva is still a good choice. Dunno if they still make them or not. But you might want to at least look at the e12.
firebirdude 02-25-2003, 09:39 PM The Elemental Designs K series is a great sub for the money. And yes, the Shiva is still in production, Ampman just doesn't carry Adire anymore. Check the Adire store (from the Adire website) or Acoustic Visions.
stik6shift98 02-26-2003, 12:35 AM do u still wanna keep ttop space?
justa25thTA 02-26-2003, 04:47 PM I'm REAL happy with my MTX Stealth box. It hits HARD!

Those looked pretty nice. Which one would be better to use in the milhouse. The dual two or four ohm? and what amp to push a 12".I remember that some people said that JBL and US Acoustics made some pretty good stuff.

Yes, the JBL amps are decent. They provide a lot of power for the least amount of cash. To power the K series subs the BP600.1 would probably be good. It can be had for about $175 new off Ebay. Or check www.ikesound.com With that amp, you should get the dual 4 ohm version. Wire to 2 ohms with 1 woofer. Wire to 1 ohm if you decide to use 2 woofers.

those boxes don't look very big, how much airspace are they? Doesn't look big enough for a 12" sub....
I also would not want my beautiful new subs to be advertised to the whole world by just looking into the back window...

Trust me dude, the milhouse is large enough to put a 12" sub in there. In fact I've done a couple 12s where I had to cut the volume down because there was too much. If you would have looked a little harder, the volume of the box is posted.
jkayner 02-27-2003, 03:58 PM You're right, I didn't look very hard... just glanced at the picture. Now that i went back and read the page, it makes more sense. I didn't realize that the whole thing flipped back into the trunk area. My bad.
