I basically want to attach a Brita/Carbon type filter to my hose to filter out all the crap so it doesn't get stuck to the car. The only ones I could find are at Home Depot and they are for under the sink and don't flow much.
Any ideas? Thanx, Rob.

I've done it using a GE inline water filter with threaded connections, the best filter cartridge they make, 2 brass fittings to allow me to attach a garden hose at each end, a female hose fitting and piece scrap hose all from the Home depot. Total cost must have come to around $30.00. Makes a huge difference in spotting with hard Central Florida water. I still get some occasional spots, but now they come right off. Before it was a major battle.

Thanx! I'm headed to Home Depot anyway tomorrow and I'll check it out.

FYI - My Home Depot here sells the filters for $30. I heard Sears sells the same one for around $20.
