thats the car^^....he said he put a 350 in there, then i asked him why hes sellin it soo cheap and he said cuz it cant pass the smog test because it needs the old 305 to pass it, but thats not a problem cuz i got a friend that could pass it for me. he also said that he believes it might need a new carberator, are those expensive?

 

Make sure that it's actualy a 350, I had a few people try to jip me and tell me that they had 350's and ended up being 305's, because it's quite hard to tell the difference with out pulling off parts and checking numbers.

It does sound like a very cheap price tho...

 

Do you know how many miles a 350 gets per gallon?....gas is a bitch right bout now.

Why the heck a caurburated 350? in an '89? My r.s. is a fuel injected 305. And over all I can tell a difference between a 305 and a 350 when i see 'em

 

305 350 are both the same size, hard just to look at them and tell the difference. only way to know is by vin#, block casting or pull the heads off and check bore size.
