Teach me Coil-overs

i need to know how hard they are to change. i know that they take about 45 minutes to change for some and that u have to jack it up.
how hard is it to get all the springs even. is there notches for the different hights. like 10 different hights or is it fully adjustible.
i will probable need new shocks and struts and a pan-hard right?
whats the cheapest kits you guys found? and best brand for decend price. i know they can go for around $350 anyone found anything cheaper?
im pretty sure that ill find a couple more questions after i post this so ill reply also.
i would lower it but i drive in the winter and my driveway is horrible on the stock hight already. so its either coil overs or stock hight. and im getting new rims.

dont all jump up at once now.
anyone know another seciton i could put this in? TTT

All four wheels on weight pads and a readout. But that's beyond your budget. As far as I know, automotive coilovers are infinitely adjustable. Not like on a motorcycle I once had.

Height adjusters on nearly any coil over you will see, if not all of them, are rotated with a spanner wrench, so no there are no notches.

Thank you both. That helps a little bit ill try to keep reading up on them. I couldn't find much when i searched but ill try again. I wasn't trying to sound like i was mad that no one answered in the second post either if thats what you thought Norm but thanks anyway. I really apriciate any help and the typing is just how i type on the computer I didn't think it mattered that much but ill work on it anyway. ;-)
