When does the converter lock-up under normal "gentle" acceleration?

My car stock and after the 3.73's (with programming) will lock up at around 45 if I accelerate gently.

Did you have the high stall problem with OBD1? How did you fix it?

I want to go a bit more aggressive than a 2800 stall, but I don't want to sacrifice driveabilty when I'm cruising at 50+ MPH...

Did you install it yourself and how do you like it overall?

And yes I am getting some new tires too...
