No EGR on 2001 SS?

My 2001 SS has no EGR system, and I thought that 2001's did and 2002's didn't. What's the deal ... is anyone sure which years did / did not come with EGR?

01 and 02 do not have an EGR system

01-02=ls6 intake, ls6 intake=no egr, put simply
