What is IAC and how to adjust TPSwhite91z28 02-11-2003, 08:18 PM Can anybody tell me What the IAC is and where it is located? Also how can i adjust the TPS? BlowBye 02-11-2003, 08:26 PM IAC is an Idle Air Control valve. Its located below the throttle body and is basically a solenoid. If engine needs a bit more air, solenoid opens up, if it dosent need air it closes. A TPS is adjusted by using a Digital Multi Meter. You first must loosen NOT REMOVE 2 bolts holding the TPS. Connect your negative and positive terminal from MULTI Meter to connecter A and B(its engraved on the TPS) read the volts, It should put out .52. If its below or high move it up or down till you read .52. Once its set tighten it back up and you're done. If im wrong in any part someone please let me know. white91z28 02-11-2003, 08:31 PM Thanks Blowbye:bow: aklim 02-11-2003, 09:45 PM See my post here: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80099 I believe that the earlier TPS cars were set to 0.54V while the later ones were set to 0.6V. I think it is the pre 87 ones that are set to 0.54 while the post 87 ones are 0.6 white91z28 02-11-2003, 09:52 PM Thanks Aklim:bow: | ||
